Help Us To Help Them

Did you know that since 1968 there has been over 25,000 terrorist attacks in 165 countries; over 35,000 people killed in 134 countries and over 90,000 injured in 135 countries.  No?  I didn't either.  When I found out it definitely got my attention. 

In the world today terrorism is the most brutal and sadistic act that can be perpetrated by one person to another.  It is absolutely a violation of Torah.  The previous statistics clearly demonstrate that it is a not exclusive to one or two countries but rather a global war.  How do we possibly fight back?

The terrorists weapon of choice is fear.  They are prepared to blow up thousands of our fellow man in order to instill fear into each and every one of us.  They use explosives on suicide bombers, vehicles and in buildings to accomplish their objective and say that their god said it was OK to do this.

Well I say it's time to choose our weapon of choice because our God said to use it.  What is that?  Chesed or Loving Kindness.  The greatest acts that a believer in the One True Creator of all things can do is to perform an act of kindness (chesed).

We hope that you will consider the G.I.V.E. Relief Project worthy enough to perform your act of kindness with. 

The “Global Intifada Victims Emergency Relief Fund” or G.I.V.E. Relief Fund will be used to help the many thousands of victims who have suffered great loss as a result of acts of terrorism committed against them.  Many have lost loved ones, homes, jobs and many have lost everything. Terrorism is a cancer and with HaShem’s help it will be eradicated, and I pray in our time.

Your support will go out in multiple forms. You will be supplying food, clothing, the day to day necessities like soap, toothpaste, a little deodorant, maybe a shaving kit, shelter, counseling, funds to bury the loved ones they have lost and a great many other necessities that we take for granted. You will be supporting the military families of those on the front lines.  We need to support everyone who is currently in the fight against terrorism and strengthen those who could become the next targets.

Most of us are not able to be on the front lines combating this world wide cancerous plague but we can offer our help to begin the healing process much more quickly.  We can make the lives of the victims of terrorism far better and provide tangible hope in an absolutely hopeless situation. We can let these people know that they are not alone and that there is still goodness in the world.

The generous donations made by people like you, me and everyone out there will touch the lives of millions of people who we will never know. That is one of the greatest mitvoth a person can do. We will be helping many of our fellow man when they need it most.

While this is a global effort to provide relief to all victims of terrorism, unfortunately, Israel will undoubtedly be the main benefactor of the G.I.V.E. Relief Fund due to the constant terrorist attacks perpetrated on them routinely.

The G.I.V.E. Relief mission will be ongoing and ever evolving until terrorism is eradicated. Enough is enough and the time to act is NOW. I guarantee that down the road we do not want to be thinking, "boy, I wish we had done something when we had the chance". We need to provide tangible help and hope to those who have suffered the most regardless of where they are at.

Unity in this resolve will be the greatest strength against the enemies of HaShem, His Torah, His people and us, now and into the future.
