Noahide Nagid Certification
Nagid (Hebrew: נגיד), is a Hebrew term meaning prince or leader. This title was often applied to the religious leader in Sephardic communities of the Middle Ages. For the purposes of the ITF, Noahide Nations and its subsidiaries Noahide Nagid will be defined only as “Noahide Leader”.
A Noahide Nations Nagid will have successfully completed and been certified in the Seven Noahide Laws, the Let’s Get Biblical Course and The Torah of Shem and Noah courses offered in the Academy of Shem Noahide Yeshiva in Noahide Nations, and the leadership course. They must complete an application and be approved by a three member panel of “Hakham” for Membership in the International Torah Fellowship.
This level of certification from Noahide Nations will allow an individual to apply for "clergy licensure" in their home state, county or city depending on the governing requirements. Having a "clergy license" will allow you to, legally, perform Noahide weddings and funerals. It will also allow you to visit patients in hospitals as well as institute a prison ministry.
The Nagid Certification from Noahide Nations will give you all the rights, privileges and the responsibilties of a Noahide leader and Moreh (instructor).
Requirements for this basic level certification will be to take a 1 year course on the Noahide Laws taught by Rabbi Tzvi Aviner in the Noahide Nations Academy of Shem and to pass any tests given by Rabbi Aviner as he deems necessary.
You will be required to learn the "Let's Get Biblical" book and 24 CD set on your own and gather with other students in the program to discuss each chapter of the book and corresponding CD. You will be required to pass tests to insure you have learned and retained the material. This course will be an enormous help in dealing with Christians and Messianics who approach you for positive or negative reasons.
You will be required to take The Torah of Shem and Noah taught by Rabbi David Katz, and to pass tests to insure you have learned and retained the material.
You will be required to take a final class on leadership, and to pass tests to insure you have learned and retained the material.
After completion of the above requirements you will then be able to apply to the International Torah Fellowship for Nagid certification. If approved for membership in the International Torah Fellowship you will be issued the Nagid certificate and will be a certified Nagid under the Noahide Nations International Torah Fellowship umbrella.
Taking and passing courses does not guaruntee certification as a Naggid, but taking and passing the previously mentioned courses is a prerequisite to Nagid certification. This requirement will help to populate the ITF with intelligent, God-fearing, and qualified people to assist in growing the noahide movement by inducting new Noahides and communities into the Noahide Nations. This will insure the long term successful growth of the organization and more importantly the continued spread of the name of HaShem and His Torah.
Both men and women are encouraged to prepare themselves with knowledge and to be a part of the future of the Noahide Movement by completing the Nagid Certification Program.
It is recommended that you become an active member in the Noahide Nations Social Community on the website as well as the Noahide Nations Yahoo Group and Facebook Groups. You might also consider writing and submitting articles to be published on the Noahide Nations website and/or in your Noahide Community blog. This will improve your knowledge and teaching skills and will help people get to know who you are.
The Seven Noahide Laws Course will begin February 14th. Check the Academy of Shem schedule for class start date and time.
The Let's Get Biblical Course will be starting towards the end of February. Check the Academy of Shem schedule for class start date and time.
The Torah of Shem and Noah has already started but you can choose to get caught up by downloading and listening to the audio downloads of the earlier classes. You can then take the tests and continue on with the course in the live classes each week. Classes are held in the Academy of Shem on Sunday evenings at 10 pm CST. Previous classes can be downloaded here
Noahide Leadership Class - Date and time to be determined.
SPECIAL NOTICE:
For a limited time only the first ten students to begin the Let's Get Biblical program, for certification, will not have to take any tests. Your tests will come in the form of you creating five (5) questions and provide the answers for those five questions after each chapter of the book and after each CD. The CDs and chapters in the Let's Get Biblical book coincide with each other.
Your efforts here will help create the tests that will be taken by future students of the program.
If you would like to begin the Noahide Nations Nagid Certification Program please call 214-712-7453.
