Academy Of Shem - Current Online Classes

Any serious discussion of an issue involving Torah law or philosophy will invariably make reference to a wide assortment of the classic works of “Torah literature.” What is the Chumash? Mishna? Talmud? Mishne Torah? Arba’a Turim? Shulchan Aruch,? Mishna Berurah?
Who wrote them and why? How do they interface with each other to create a conclusive view? Join us for an exciting adventure as we discuss these works, and others, and answer these questions. In addition, we will study short selections from each of these authoritative texts.
This course will be taught by Rabbi Joel Zeff and is co-sponsored by the Jewish Studies Initiative of Northern Texas.

Start learning about Hashem, the same way that goes back to its roots in Abraham and in the way that he received it from Shem. The study of Kabalah was not only lost over time, but has gained momentum every generation with such luminaries in revelation from such authorities such as the Zohar, Arizal, Vilna Gaon, all the way until today with many great men expounding on Kabbalistic concepts for all to grasp. One of such men was Aryeh Kaplan, author of "Innerspace."
Seven Laws - flesh of a living animal
Recently in the Noahide Nations yahoo group a question was asked about what kind of meat a Noahide could eat. Did a Noahide need to keep kosher or could they eat whatever they wanted to?
The entire question was based on Rabbi Richman's lecture at the first World Conference of the Noahide Nations in July of 2008.
It was a real pleasure when Rabbi Chaim Richman through Rabbi Yeshayahu Hollander responded to the question giving a complete answer from the Rabbis at the Noahide World Center. First I will post the original question and then the answer. I hope you find this illuminating and helpful.
Isn't it time to discover and strengthen the name and soul you already have? Ever wonder what your true Hebrew name is? Now you can find out what it is.
The name of a person is like ripe fruit; oozing its message, it just needs to be picked and read. When one applies knowledge, methodology, and insight into the intention and interest of the name reading, it comes out perfect every time revealing the Blessings of HaShem.
