Noahide Nations Noah Award
Recipient is Vendyl Jones

Our Noah Award was specifically created to honor a Ben or Bat Noach whose life or work has impacted the Noahide community in some positive way.

Achievements can be for charitable works or promoting and teaching Torah and the concept of the Seven Laws of Noah. This year’s recipient is being recognized for a lifetime of work for Torah, God and Israel.

He has been called everything from a crackpot to a hero for his archaeological work. Because of his stand for Torah and for being so very effective in spreading the concept of the Seven Noahide Laws he has been labeled the Anti-Christ by fearful theologians but hailed as a brave iconoclast by those who embrace the truth of the Torah. The esteemed Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz, renowned translator of the Babylonian Talmud and head of Israel’s Institute for Talmudic Publications said about our recipient:

“Although some archaeologists do not accept his views, he is doing scientifically valid research, which may result in important findings for the Jewish people and for the world, …in addition, he has been instrumental in reviving the concept of B’Nai Noach under the authority of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel.”

The recipient of the Noah Award has been recognized for his work for Noahides by the Chief Rabbi of Israel, Mordechai Eliyahu.

The late Rebbe Menachem Schneerson, of blessed memory, gave our honoree a triple blessing, and I quote: “ You are doing the most important work in the world. Many obstacles will come before you and try to make you change what you are doing. Do not change anything you are doing. God Bless You…God Bless You…God Bless You.”

Upon hearing these words, one is moved to ask, could the Rebbe have also been referring to this
individual’s efforts to spread the truth of Torah and the Seven Laws?

He founded an institute based on the idea that history, archaeology and the Bible could be used in service to awaken the world to the vital role of Jewish people as a Light to the Nations while, at the same time, wipe out the baseless and harmful myths about the Chosen People. His love for Torah, the Jewish people and for the nation of Israel was dramatically demonstrated when he volunteered to work the land during the dangerous days preceding the Six Day War in 1967. He would soon place himself in harm’s way by becoming a forward observer for an IDF unit. As a result he spotted numerous enemy gun emplacements, a feat later celebrated in the June 16th, 1967 issue of Time Magazine.

Rabbi Shlomo Goren, of blessed memory, the former Chief Rabbi of Israel honored this gentleman for his Torah scholarship and for his efforts to recover Israel’s ancient archaeological treasures.

The late Mati Pelet, a retired IDF officer and close friend said this, “Our parents taught us that, what is good for the Jews is good for the world and we think this man is good for the Jews. Well, we at Noahide Nations think that Vendyl Jones has been good for B’Nei Noach, so Vendyl, with deep gratitude we present you with the first-ever Noah Award for Outstanding Achievements as a Noahide, who for the Sake of Heaven, has raised up Torah, Disseminated the Seven Laws for the Benefit of the Noahide Community.
