Rabbi Goldberg, presently the rabbi of Congregation Nachal Chaim in Baltimore, studied fifteen years in the Mir Yeshiva Central Institute in New York, where he was conferred Chaver Hatalmud (equivalent to a PhD). He is an accomplished Halachist, having been granted high-level Semichas (ordinations) authorizing him to act as a Rabbinical Judge, expertise in Gittin (Jewish divorce) and Posek in matters of Kashrut. In addition, Rabbi Goldberg has Kabala (confirmation of his expertise in the unbroken chain of tradition) in Shechita (ritual slaughter and examination). He has also mastered the traditional skills of Sofrut (ritual scribe) and Mila (circumcision). Among his writings are the acclaimed Hebrew language anthology of Torah interpretations, Sefer Nachal Chaim and three English language, Jewish oriented, historical/philosophical novels, Aleph Shin, Every Man A Slave and just published, Ten Lost. Rabbi Goldberg is presently working on his first English language non-fiction, The Amalek Index, which analyses the two diametrically opposing forces that have shaped the world since the dawn of history.

In secular pursuits, Rabbi Goldberg has taught Jewish history and creative writing at high school level. He has twenty four years experience in the computer field and is a self-taught historian with expertise in Jewish history from Biblical times to the present. Rabbi Goldberg is currently a judge on the Maryland Tax Court.

Judge of the Maryland Tax Court: 2004 (term until 2009). The Court represents thehighest level of administrative appeals of assessments and certain other taxes. The court exists to assure the taxpayers of Maryland of a fair and equitable venue to voice theirgrievances and correct taxation assessment errors and inequities.

Literary: Wrote Samson’s Lion (ISBN 0967704405, republished as Aleph Shin), publishedin 2000. This work is a techno-thriller with a religious (eschatological) theme. Wrote Every Man A Slave (ISBN 096770443X), a historical fiction of the period from 1808-1862. Thehistorical novel ran in serial in a prominent Jewish newspaper from April 2002 and was completed April 2006. A new novel, Ten Lost, The Prequel to Aleph shin, was just released. Philosophy: Nachal Chaim vol. 1 (in Hebrew, published 2005) 68 essays of novel Biblical and Talmudic interpretation.

In Progress: Nachal Chaim vol. 2 (in Hebrew) includes a section of five essays based on Maimonides’ Guide For The Perplexed, which addresses and correlates modern sciencewith Divine Providence. The Amalek Index. A major philosophical treatise integrating the plan of Creation/Redemption with history, sociology, politics and contemporary events.
